craft
Undergraduate Program in Craft is one of the oldest study programs in Indonesia focusing on the efforts to utilize a variety of craft in Indonesia. Since 1975, Undergraduate Program in Craft has made a significant contribution to the development of creative industries in Indonesia and abroad. Craft includes knowledge and expertise that is based on skill, dexterity and mastery of the medium, which is now multi-interdisciplinary and contextual. The close connection between craft and history, the environment, and the traditions of the people who create it shows a dialectical understanding of modernity in the constellation of the progress of the spirit of the times.
Visual communication design
Undergraduate Program in Visual Communication Design (DKV) FSRD ITB aims to produce designers and researchers in the field of visual communication with leadership, critical thinking, creativity, skills, and sensitivity in developing works as solutions to various visual communication issues (related to information, identity, or persuasion) in society. This study program teaches knowledge and skills, as well as trains students’ sensitivity in designing visual communication through project-based learning carried out systematically, starting from research, idea development, and prototyping, to the execution of creating works with various media as needed.
Interior design
Undergraduate Program in Interior Design FSRD ITB is the first Indonesian education program in interior design. Opened in 1957, the Undergraduate Program in Interior Design FSRD is the pioneer of interior design profession in Indonesia providing a wide range of network. Students of Undergraduate Program in Interior Design will learn knowledge related to aspects of human needs in space as individual and social beings with the support of national and international teaching staff and scale designers. This provides a significant role for students to innovate and be creative in improving human life and society.
Product design
Undergraduate Program in Product Design FSRD ITB is the first Indonesian higher education program in Product Design that has contributed a lot to the development of product design. The curriculum in this program is designed to face various changes and challenges in the future with an interdisciplinary approach putting aesthetic, scientific, engineering, social, management, and environmental aspects in synergy. Supported by experienced teachers and design experts with strong industrial experience, students will have a real learning experience to become professional designers who can design innovative products that can benefit society.
