Opening Design Centre FSRD-ITB

Concept Design Center FSRD-ITB Bandung Institute of Technology focuses on scientific research and innovation activities based on Design with an emphasis on collaborative aspects between scientific disciplines and stakeholders in the process. The FSRD-ITB Design Center is equipped with flexible co-working space facilities, makerspace, material library, amphitheater and exhibition gallery. The character of the Design Center reflects the spirit of responding to challenges and problems in society in the future. The FSRD-ITB Design Center is a leading hub both between units at ITB and with institutions outside ITB so as to accelerate innovation results
in solving increasingly complex problems.

“Technology has determined human life. It has become a way of thinking or even a body itself. This fact actually confirms that as an everyday matter, technology is culture. The more sophisticated the technology, the stronger the cultural aura. There, technology becomes a cultural development strategy. On the other hand, culture is a space that enables the growth of technological advances.
