“Imagining Modernity” brings together researchers, curators, and educators from Indonesia and the Netherlands to explore how colonial legacies shape art education and cultural knowledge today. Centering on the Hindu-Buddhist statues at FSRD ITB, we ask: how might these objects be re-read, recontextualized, and reintegrated on April 21–23, 2025, at Soemardja Gallery.
