This event featured seminars and workshops on making works of art, which took place in parallel from March, 1—4, 2023. Participants from Indonesia, South Korea, and Thailand took part in the seminar and  50 artists/designers/practitioners from several fields including ceramic art, painting, printmaking, glass art, and product design joined the workshop. They were representing Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, America, South Korea, Vietnam, Turkey, Mexico, and Thailand. This workshop was also held interactively and was open for students. On this occasion, Dr. Gita Winata, M.Ds. has a presentation with the theme Lombok Thief Kendi, Indonesian Traditional Water Container.

“This activity was very interesting, because I got a lot of new experiences and knowledge, both from seminar and from works made directly by the creators with very diverse techniques and ideas. A lot of information was obtained during interactions with friends from various countries, with different technology, and arts and culture, besides of course getting international networks,” said Dr. Gita Winata, M.Ds.

He hoped that this activity can be a means to design several collaborative programs to support Tridharma involving lecturers and students, as well as building networks and recognition at the international level. He also hoped that this activity can become a reference and bring new knowledge for scientific enrichment, especially in the fields of fine arts, design, and crafts. In this occasion, he also wanted to introduce Indonesian knowledge, arts, and culture to international audiences.

“I hope it can be a motivation for students to continue to explore a lot of knowledge and to take part in programs such as student exchanges, international seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and other international programs,” said Dr. Gita Winata, M.Ds.
